This red laced leather dog lead will make you the envy of your dog friends. Show your furry four-legged friend how much you love them by giving them the pawfect gift to set tails wagging. Our  red laced lead is designed to withstand the ruff and tumble of everyday life and is the perfect match for our rolled red collar. This combination will have your precious pooch looking like the belle of the ball when you take them on their daily adventures. 

This lead is made from bridle leather which is produced for its strength, the lacing is a vibrant red veg tan leather.

To make the lead I cut the leather into a strap and attach the brass clip to one end. Next I stain the edges of the lead, then punch holes at regular intervals along the the leather. After thinning the red leather I lace it through the holes and stitch to secure. Finally I hand stitch the handle into place.

The lead measures 40″ standard length. For custom lengths please drop me a message before ordering and I will try to accommodate your request.

Please allow up to two weeks for this lead to be lovingly created. The lead will be sent by Royal Mail, signed for.

I use recycled and recyclable packaging where possible with the exception of bubble wrap which is re-used.

To care for this lead and keep it in top condition I recommend using Renapur leather balm. Rub in a small amount on cloth every 2-3 months to keep the leather conditioned and waterproofed. When not in use this lead is best stored in a cool dry place. When you come back from a wet walk allow the lead to dry out naturally, then treat with a leather balm. Never dry leather out on a radiator or direct heat source as this will dry out the leather too quickly and could result in cracking.
